I was watching the news and a woman won $112 million dollars all from positive thought (and by buying a $2 ticket.) The number 112 came to her one day, so she wrote it down and starting visualizing it at least twice a day.
I remember reading a similar technique as a way to help visualize your money goals... can't think of the title. It comes down to: If you build it, they will come. If you dream it, you can achieve it. (I think it may even be The Secret, but not sure since I've only put it on hold for people at the library.)
The number 78 popped into my mind. So I have decided I will win $78 million dollars. Once the lottery gets to that amount, I'll be buying a ticket.
Spyros and I played the What If game. We decided we would stay in our house. We like the location and neither one of us wants a bigger house (been there, payed the huge bills and don't want to do it again... even with $78 million).
Although we would see about buying the house next to us, to put a chicken coop and some bees on.
And we'd buy the house next to that one (it's currently for sale) If a set of parents wanted to live in it (or maybe friends) we'd love to have them... if not, perhaps turn it into a place where people in the village could hold meetings (knitting, book, etc...)
The last house on the block is also occupied, but we would see about buying it, and turning it into a big garden. We would knock down the house (but try to recycle as much as possible.) And keep the garage to store garden equipment in, and we would buy a truck with a plow and go about doing random good plowing deeds in the winter.
Perhaps we would buy a 67 Buick Skylark or an older GTO.... We would pay off my parent's houses and cars (or buy them newer ones.) We would also fix up our house... redoing the hardwood floors, some new windows, etc...
But after that we would take a pause to see where we wanted to donate the rest (while keeping enough for us to live comfortably, of course.)
We would probably donate to the animal shelter and Family Center in town, along with Arts Wisconsin and The Cultural Center. Setting up some kind of trust for them to draw money from every year.
$78 Million has such a nice ring...
If I'm not visualizing rolling in the dough, this year I would like to start eating more organic food, moving my body more, and doing other things that are good for my body, mind, and the Earth.
How about you??
Ok, I don't know about the bees, but a chicken coop in town? First, I don't think you or your neighbors would be loving that. Second, it probably isn't legal in a city or town or village limits. Can you even begin to imagine what kind of smell that would create? OMG!
ReplyDeleteI like your dreams, Kim...conscious and fun. I love the idea of chickens and bees in town...I don't think you need a rooster for laying chickens unless you are planning on increasing your hen house...as for bees...my sister has bees in portland..all you need is your neighbor's okay...and the swarm is yours..Your house has such a nice feel to it..nice that you want to stay there. Heres to a new year, and some postive visualization!
