Deliberate

One of my husband's New Year's Resolutions was to be more deliberate. When I read this, I was confused. He explained that he wanted to be more aware of his actions, ie: watching where he steps so as not to step on the cat.

About a week before this I came across a book at the library called A Complaint Free World. I had intended to check it out and try the program (go complaint and gossip free for 21 days), and after I saw my husband's resolution I thought the timing would be perfect for both of us to try the program.
Now I just need to find the time to finish the book.

So how does this factor into being frugal (besides checking the book out from the library)?
I think people who are frugal (or are trying to become frugal) are more deliberate in their way of thinking.

If I do without another pair of sandals then I can put more money towards my credit card bill (besides not having the charge of the sandals.)
Instead of throwing the can in the garbage, I'll add it to our recyclables and when I get enough cash them in at the aluminum place.

Such easy, deliberate actions can lead to a lifetime of taking care of the earth and keeping money in your pockets.
