Today I signed a woman up for a library card. I then went on to help the next patron in line ( a kid about 13). It was a quick transaction, and afterwards I realized the woman had left her keys on the counter.
I grabbed the keys and said, "Oh, she left her keys," and then started after her. I heard the teenager say, " Don't worry, she'll be back."
Needless to say, I didn't catch up with her, trying to dodge all the junior high kids that invade the library after school.
I got back to the desk, and started to think about what the kid had said. I had heard him, but I didn't really listen. I suddenly realized the teens brilliant statement.
Slow down, don't worry, it will all work out.
In this hectic world, following the advice to Slow Down can really do wonders.
I'm not going to go all self-help here, but I think slowing down can be beneficial in a frugal and simple life.
When you take the time to think through purchases, you can find the best deals.
When you sit for ten minutes petting your cat, you can relax and enjoy a simple moment.
