Monday is Free Magazine Day, and a Cool Lunch Tote Giveaway

Edit: Self Magazine offer is no longer available - hopefully you got in on the offer.

I spent about six hours on Sunday figuring out the weekly specials for Walgreens, IGA, etc... I know other blogs have this information posted, but I wanted to see if I could find all the deals that they did, and I did!
Since I just started collecting the coupon inserts last week, I didn't get the deals for previous coupons, but that's a no-brainer.
At least it wasn't a continuous six hours. I did have to make peanut butter bars, give attention to the cats, scann other websites, and do other chores around the house, but still six hours! And I give my husband a hard time for being on the computer so much.

I'm going to try and stick with a bit of a routine on the blog:
Monday: Post free magazines or a book review
Tuesday: Post the shopping deals for the week
Wednesday: Pictures
Thursday: Freebies
Friday: Frugal and Simple Living Ideas
Saturday: Surprise
Sunday: Round up of my goodies for the week

Or course, I'll throw in extra freebies or ideas whenever a good one comes my way.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I have never had any problems when ordering the free magazines, but with anything make sure to keep a record. You may want to bookmark the page or if you get a confirmation email, put all of them into a folder marked Magazines.

You may get notices that look like bills (but somewhere on there it should say: This is not a bill), trying to get you to extend your subscription. After reading them, file how you see fit, either in the trash or in a file folder.

We once ordered a magazine subscription that we really did want and paid for it, but we kept getting the notices that looked like bills, so we kept paying them. We finally realized we had the subscription for six years.... ugh! Unfortunately after the first year it went down hill, but some person at the library kept grabbing them out of the free bin, so at least it wasn't a total waste.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to mention an awesome Lunch Tote Giveaway at $5 Dinners. One lucky winner will get a super cool lunch tote, so head on over and try your luck.
